About the job

Crafted builds autonomous AI agents that automate complex enterprise workflows end-to-end. Our platform runs on Microsoft Azure and is powered by large language models (LLMs) served through OpenAI services with Azure Foundry. We rely extensively on Python, Redis for low-latency state and caching, PostgreSQL for durable storage, Terraform for infrastructure-as-code, and robust CI/CD pipelines to ship agents to production continuously. As an AI Agent Developer, you will own agent logic from prototype to production on this modern, cloud-native stack.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-step LLM-powered agent workflows with tool use on Crafted's Azure platform
• Build robust integrations with external APIs, Redis, PostgreSQL, and third-party services for Crafted's agent ecosystem
• Implement evaluation frameworks, tracing, and observability for production agents across Crafted's infrastructure
• Optimize prompt engineering, retrieval pipelines, and context management for Crafted's OpenAI/Foundry-powered AI products

Requirements

• Strong Python development experience, with production code on cloud-native platforms
• Hands-on experience building LLM applications using OpenAI services and Azure Foundry
• Familiarity with Redis and PostgreSQL for state, caching, and durable storage
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of agent orchestration, tool use, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
